I'm Megan Sullivan, a Chicago real estate broker with Compass, a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE®), and the founder of The Divorce Collab. I help divorcing homeowners understand their options for the marital home, with clear property information, balanced communication and coordination with their professional team.
The house can be both a financial asset and a place with years of family history. My own divorce shaped how I approach that conversation. I help make market value, sale preparation, estimated proceeds and timing easier to understand, without pretending the numbers erase what the decision means personally.
When engaged to help both homeowners sell, I establish a balanced communication process within the agreed scope and professional obligations. Attorneys, lenders and financial professionals handle their areas of expertise. My focus is the real estate information and the practical steps needed to move the plan forward.
I've lived on Chicago's North Side for more than 25 years and raised my three children here. I also help local buyers and sellers, including first-time buyers, move-up buyers and downsizers. From Lakeview and Lincoln Park to Roscoe Village, North Center, Lincoln Square and Ravenswood, I bring a local perspective to the questions behind a move.
My Bachelor of Science in Finance from Eastern Illinois University supports my attention to the numbers. I also serve as Vice President of the Meals on Wheels Chicago Associate Board. Across my work, the goal is the same: clarity, thoughtful preparation and guidance without pressure.
